Very attractive coloured Scottish maps from the first half of the 19th century. Mostly from Black's 1847 County Atlas of Scotland plus two maps from John Thomson's 1832 Atlas of Scotland. All ideal for framing as well as interesting and informative.

The 1847 maps are enlarged to 35cm x 43cm. The parishes are separately coloured and each map has a parish index. Roads, Railways, villages and some farms are clearly shown.

The Thomson Atlas of 1832 is regarded as a milestone in Scottish mapping and these maps are extremely interesting and full of detail. The two maps we have produced are: The Isle of Skye in 1824 and The Southern Portion of Ross (including inset of Isle of Lewis) in 1826. (see images in on-line shop)
